Last week, Anaheim (California) was buzzing with energy as Atlassian Team ’25 kicked off 💥, and the initial announcements were already generating considerable excitement.

From groundbreaking new products to enhanced features designed to streamline workflows, the latest news is coming out, promising to empower teams with even greater agility and collaborative power in today’s dynamic work environment.

👀 ROVO FOR ALL… FOR FREE!

You read it right! 😍 Atlassian is making its Rovo AI platform broadly available within Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management for free.

This aims to empower all teams with AI-driven automation and information access.

For whom? They’re starting with Premium and Enterprise users, followed by Standard customers.

Here are some Rovo features, including the brand new Studio:

  • Rovo Search: Offers personalized enterprise search, connecting to various SaaS apps and providing hyper-relevant context.
  • Rovo Chat: An AI companion that answers questions, retains context, and automates tasks across Atlassian applications.
  • Rovo Agents: Specialized AI teammates that tackle specific tasks and challenges, available both out-of-the-box and customizable. Rovo Dev Agents are also available, helping software development teams to automate tasks like code reviews and planning.
  • Rovo Studio: A new app for users to build custom agents and automate processes with low-code/no-code options.

🚀 NEW PRODUCTS


1. Atlassian Focus is now generally available: It’s a central hub for strategic planning providing real-time visibility into company priorities and progress.

  • Real-time tracking of goals, work, teams, and funds related to strategic initiatives
  • Integration with Jira and Align for automatic updates on work progress
  • Allow leaders to identify at-risk priorities and opportunities for efficiency

2. NEW Atlassian Talent: A new workforce planning app designed to ensure the right resources are in place for key initiatives.

  • Provides insights into resource deployment across projects
  • Uses AI to help leaders find employees with the right skills for specific projects

3. NEW Customer Service Management (beta): A new app to connect customer support, product, development, and operations teams, using AI to improve customer service and issue resolution. By integrating ticketing, AI agents, and knowledge bases, the app promises faster onboarding, improved workflow efficiency, and significant cost savings.


🚀 NEW PRODUCT BUNDLES

  1. Teamwork Collection: A bundle of Jira, Confluence, and Loom, enhanced by Rovo AI agents, to unify collaboration across technical and business teams
  2. Strategy Collection: A set of tools (Jira Align, Atlassian Focus, Atlassian Talent) to connect executive strategy with team execution, providing real-time visibility and workforce planning

… and the good news, is that existing Jira Align customers will receive access to the full Strategy Collection at no additional cost! 😎


🚀 NEW CLOUD OFFERING

Atlassian is now offering two different cloud options, specifically for those needing high security levels, government agencies, etc.

  • Atlassian Isolated Cloud: A virtual private cloud option for organizations with stringent security requirements, offering a dedicated and isolated Atlassian environment
  • Atlassian Government Cloud: A FedRAMP-authorized cloud environment for U.S. government agencies and their partners, ensuring compliance and security

🚀 THE NEW ERA OF JIRA

…and lastly, Atlassian has significantly improved Jira to make it a central work hub for all teams.

Key changes include:

  • Improved Jira: Jira is now faster, sleeker, and uses AI agents to help teams plan, execute, and stay aligned
  • Scaling Best Practices: Custom project templates allow teams to save and replicate successful workflows across the organization
  • AI-Powered Work Creation: AI Work Create captures tasks from various sources (Slack, email, etc.) and organizes them into Jira
  • Contextualized Work Items: AI enriches tasks with descriptions, subtasks, and relevant links
  • Simplified Workflow Automation: AI enables users to build workflows by describing the desired outcome, rather than writing code
  • Redesigned Interface: Jira has a new look and feel with updated terminology (“work” instead of “issues”), improved work item views, and redesigned lists
  • Public Forms: Anyone can submit requests via public forms, even without a Jira account
  • Redesigned Navigation: The navigation is more intuitive and customizable
