Atlassian new products’ announcements! Wuerth Phoenix goes to Unleash Berlin!

Unleash is an event powered by Atlassian, which aims to bring together partners, customers and Jira enthusiasts in one single location. The event took place on February 9th in Berlin… and I was there!

Berlin’s event, Unleash, was mainly dedicated to empowering agile & DevOps teams, therefore mainly focusing on Jira.

The day started with a keynote, and then continued with various sessions to expand on certain important themes like automation, cloud migration, … but the most important part of the day was the announcements about advancements to the Jira suite… So here’s a short overview:

The first announcement is related to Jira Product Discovery: this is a prioritization tool which has been in beta until now, but will be released soon. It is used by product managers and their teams to track new ideas, prioritize them, and collaborate on them. If you are curious to try it out, you can download it for free…

Secondly, Jira Work Management is now included in new and existing Jira Software licenses for free. This is awesome news, but unfortunately it has two limitations: firstly, the limit is 35,000 users and secondly… this will be valid until March 2024, so only for one year 😞

Lastly, they announced new Jira workflow and toolchain templates: these include workflows, permission schemes and automation tools that can be downloaded. It’s also a great opportunity for certain companies that don’t need a great deal of customization…

MY HONEST OPINION ABOUT THE EVENT

These kinds of events are for connecting to the brand, to learn new insights and to celebrate together.

The atmosphere was great, you could speak easily with other partners and customers, but also with the Atlassian team… and all this powered with great music, food & drinks!

So if the question is: is it worth it? I’d say…

100% YES!
