One of the highlight of the conference will be the presentation of the studies conducted by IDC, showcased by Vice President Research Al Gillen. He will provide an overview of the main motivations for the adoption of Open Source solutions beside the “classic” cost factor: openess in the product usage and adoption as well as independence from the supplier play an increasingly important role.
